Bus Engine Fire in Mamak, Ankara, Extinguished Using ALAS Aerosol Fire Suppression System

On the evening of September 18, 2026, a fire broke out in the engine compartment of a bus in the Mamak district of Ankara. As passengers were disembarking, the ALAS aerosol fire suppression system installed on the vehicle activated, addressing the flames rising from the engine compartment. The system successfully extinguished the fire and brought it under control.

This incident once again highlights the importance of early intervention in engine compartment fires within public transport vehicles. Containing a fire during its initial stages is crucial for ensuring passenger safety and limiting potential damage to the vehicle.
