Alas Fire intervenes in Metrobus fire.

On the evening of January 26, 2026, a fire broke out in a metrobus belonging to IETT at the Altunizade Metrobus stop in Istanbul. While passengers were being evacuated from the vehicle, flames began to rise from the engine compartment. The Alas automatic fire extinguishing system on board immediately intervened, bringing the fire under control within the first few seconds.
